Advice from Edinburgh Wedding Photographers

Choosing the right wedding photographers

We believe that when you choose photographers for one of the most important days of your life, it’s as important to like the people behind the lens as much as their work. Come and meet us at our studio to get a feel for whether our approach to wedding photography is the right match for you, to hear how we can help your wedding day and the photography flow naturally, and to see lots of examples of our work. A husband-and-wife team

We love weddings and always work as a team to ensure that you have the best photographs of your day, whether it’s an intimate gathering or a grand affair. With two of us, we can be in two places at once, or we can capture the same scene from different angles, adding another layer of luxury to your story. You’ll see things from a male and a female perspective too. We all know how interesting that can be!

Time

This is the most valuable asset on your wedding day. Couples always tell us that their day seemed to fly by. We suggest that you have a detailed plan for the day that ensures plenty of time to celebrate with your family and friends.

Please ask if you’d like us to help you with this. If your wedding is during the winter months you might want to consider your ceremony time to make the most of the daylight hours.

Planning your preparation time and working closely with your hairdresser and make-up artist will help ensure a stress-free lead up to your ceremony.

Professional make-up artists and hairdressers

We recommend using a professional make-up artist and hairdresser to help you look and feel your very best. Using experienced professionals for this helps your preparations run smoothly. We give all our clients our list of tried and trusted suppliers.

The weather

This is always a great topic of conversation. We will have planned different options and locations for photography on your wedding day, whatever the weather. And we always have big umbrellas on hand to help scare away the rain. If the clouds do decide to stick around, rest assured. A walk in the rain with brollies can create some very atmospheric photographs.

If you’d like our advice on any aspect of your wedding planning, please just ask – we’d love to help.
