Lucy & Alan were married at one of Scotland’s top venues – the 5 ✭ Exclusively Yours – Dundas Castle.
All the floral beauty was produced by the infinitely creative team at Planet Flowers.
Lucy’s attention to detail was second to none. This unique seating plan was just a tiny part of her creative accomplishment.
Alan (the photographer) started the day with Alan (the groom) his best man, Dad and groomsmen for some lunch and a game of snooker in Dundas Castle’s billiard room. Before heading to get ready for the big event….
Jackie had great fun being with Lucy, her bridesmaids and the two gorgeous flower girls, Milly & Evey as they completed their preparations.
Lucy and her Dad walked to the Auld Keep, led by Pipe Major Iain Grant.
As the Auld Keep’s bell tolled, Alan turned to see Lucy and was blown away (as we all were).
Lucy & Alan’s wedding ceremony was conducted by the inimitable Rev. Melville Schofield
Lucy & Alan took the opportunity for a few minutes of fun and relaxation on the castle keep roof and on the verandah of the very romantic Boathouse.
Before heading back to the party and their family & friends….
The wedding cake was another unique feature of Lucy & Alan’s day. There was a lot of it to cut!
The combination of Planet Flowers and Lucy’s own attention to detail (many hand made by her and Alan), meant the Pavilion looked fabulous.
There was so much love and care taken by Lucy on all of these colorful and tasty treats, perhaps they deserve a whole blog post of their own?
The evening light was just perfect and we couldn’t resist the chance to see if we could make some extra special photographs for Lucy & Alan.
As ever, the food created by the chefs at Prestige Scotland looked exquisite and tasted delicious.
Milly was kind enough to share her special day (her 8th birthday) with Lucy & Alan.
The vintage themed photo booth was a big hit, as was the the ceilidh dancing……
Lucy and Alan had smiles on their faces from the start to the finish of their day. It was perfect. We hope this small selection from the images we took on the day captures some of the fun, joy and the love.
